  • How are Cookies used on the Goodfellow Website?

    Our website uses cookies to ensure that you get the best possible experience when viewing and ordering from it. By continuing to browse our website we will assume that you are happy with this.  For more information, view our full cookie policy.

  • What does Goodfellow Ceramic and Glass Division do?

    We supply a comprehensive range of Ceramics and Glasses to the research and industrial markets either as finished components to customer drawings or in an extensive range of semi-finished forms including sheets, rods and tubes for our customers to machine their own components.

  • Do you have a catalog of standard items?

    Most of our business is supplying components made to customer specifications and drawings, so we do not have a catalog for this side of our business.

    However, some of our customers prefer to buy ceramics and glass in semi-finished forms such as rod, tube, bar, etc., and for these customers we have an on-line catalog with prices available from the main Goodfellow website.  The main Goodfellow website also offers downloadable PDF catalogs of our standard stock shapes.

    You can also request a printed catalog of semi-finished forms by simply contacting your local office or sending an email to marketing@goodfellow.com. Don't forget to include your name and address so that we know where to send it! Alternatively, you can fill in this form

  • I knew you as Technical Glass. What happened?

    Goodfellow acquired the Technical Glass Company in 2008 to expand the product range and reach of both companies. We are now the Goodfellow Ceramic and Glass Division. Your contacts have not changed, and telephone and fax numbers remain unchanged. If you bookmarked our old website, please bookmark this new one, so we can keep you informed of new product releases and our latest company information.

  • How can I pay for my orders?

    If you or your company has a credit account with Goodfellow, purchases will be charged in the usual manner. If you do not have an account with us or would prefer not to use your account, Goodfellow accepts payment via VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Switch and Delta.

  • What are Goodfellow's standard payment terms?

    If you have a credit account, our standard terms of payment are net 30 days from the date of invoice. Alternative payment terms must be agreed in writing with Goodfellow at the time of ordering.  Customers may be asked to pay cash with order or cash against pro-forma invoice with their first order. In order to establish a credit account we will require details of your bankers, along with two trade references.

  • What discounts does Goodfellow offer?

    We are specialized in the supply of one-off to production run quantities. We always try to be competitive with smaller quantities of finished components, but obviously the tooling and set up costs mean that smaller quantities have higher unit prices. If you would like us to quote a range of quantities, we are happy to provide prices to show you where savings can be made.

  • What extra shipping costs am I likely to be charged?

    Goodfellow Ceramic and Glass Division aim to quote all of our customers with prices including free delivery by door-to-door courier service (UPS or FedEx). On our quotations we will always indicate our shipping terms. Standard stock items from our online catalog are inclusive of shipping by courier (FedEx, UPS or DHL) and, therefore, there are no extra charges for shipping, except where indicated. 

  • How secure is my personal data?

    Full details of our security policies are detailed under the section entitled "Privacy Policy". All personal information is securely stored and will only be used by Goodfellow. Any credit card information which is given to us will be deleted from our records once the transaction has been completed. If an item has to be returned and the card credited, you will be asked to supply details of your card again.

  • Will I receive unsolicited e-mails?

    We will use the e-mail addresses of our customers to advise them of items which could be of interest. However, if you do not wish to receive correspondence from us, please let us know by sending an e-mail and we will amend our records accordingly.

  • Does Goodfellow supply samples of material?

    Goodfellow sells small quantities of materials and, therefore, we do not generally provide samples of our materials free of charge. However, if you require a sample of material for a specific reason, please contact your local office as we may be able to assist.
